Quick Reflection on "I See You Are Only Interested in the Exceptionally Rare"

This paper is one of my most recent, having just finished it a couple weeks ago for class. As such, I lack the distance to truly reflect on it or have been able to see how it has affected my later work. I can say, though, that it was inspired by a response paper I wrote at the beginning of this class on Princess Jasmine. I was very struck by Said's theory and immediately thought of Aladdin. The response paper may be seen in "Jasmine: The Magical Princess." Should you read both, it is very clear that the short response planted the seed. Hopefully it grew into something worthwhile. I feel like it is now, but with time I may not think so. Such is the blessing and curse of writing.
